A Prayer Of Salvation
If you are ready to begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Bible promises that salvation is a free gift to all who call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Pray this prayer sincerely from your heart:
Heavenly Father,
I come to You today, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I confess that I have fallen short of Your glory, and I repent of my sins.
I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose again on the third day, conquering sin and death. I accept His sacrifice on my behalf, and I declare Him as my Lord and Savior.
Lord, I ask You to come into my heart and make me a new creation. Wash me clean, forgive my sins, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit so I may live for You. Guide me as I walk this new path of faith, trusting in Your love and truth.
Thank You, Lord, for saving me and giving me the gift of eternal life. I commit my life to You, and I look forward to the hope of heaven with You. In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen.
If you have prayed the prayer of salvation, congratulations on making the most important decision of your life! You have entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and heaven rejoices over your decision (Luke 15:10).
Salvation is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a lifelong relationship with God. Philippians 1:6 assures us, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Now, as you begin this new journey of faith, here is the next vital next step to help you continue to grow spiritually and deepen your relationship with God:
Connect with a Bible-Teaching Church
The Christian life is not meant to be lived in isolation. God designed the church as a community of believers to encourage, equip, and walk with one another in faith. Seek out a church that faithfully preaches the Word of God and where you can grow under sound biblical teaching. In fellowship with other believers, you’ll find support, encouragement, and opportunities to serve.
